Beneath a Steel Sky - a remastered classic

I completely forgot about playing this game until my fiancée started playing it last nite and she got me hooked. This game is actually a classic computer game that is ported onto the iPhone. Its an iPhone game that has one of the most recorded voice dialogues I have ever played and it's very funny. The game has built in hints so it's not like the kind of game where you play , get stuck, and forget about. Check it out, $2.99 on the apps store

Flight before Christmas

How do iPhanatics spent Christmas? Right, playing with the iPhone (and with the toys you bought for your kids...).
So here is a better Christmas app: "Flight before Christmas":

It's similar to Flight Control or other draw-the-path-apps. Santa has deliver it's presents, so you have to guide his sledge through the heavy air traffic.

It's free and here is the link:

Merry Christmas to everybody!

Noticing - Foursquare for Photographers

Typelogo-630px

Noticing was highlighted on Flickr Blog few hours ago. I'm quite sure most of you are familiar with Foursquare, Noticing is basically a photo version of foursquare where you get points from uploading discovered places to get points.
Personally like the concept but maybe a bit too much for every-day's life.

Thought the iphone app would be free but it's US$2.99 which can disencourage many people from start using it, if you have it feel free to share feedback.

Pee breaks - they happen.....

The bladder is a tough little unit to control at times, and like my daughter, tends to bust a move at the wrong moment in a long movie. It'd be great if someone made a little....yeah yeah yeah...there's an app for that. Well technically its a combo of an iPhone app and an accompanying web site that acts as the database. You let the iPhone app know what movie youre watching and sync the start with the app and off you go....you get a countdown to bathroom breaks, like when theres a dull moment in the movie, or a bit that you could miss without losing the plot :-)  Stupid....but perfect!

Dwayne (who used the pee break to knock this out :-)  )

Background Checks For All With BeenVerified’s iPhone App

Screen shot 2009-12-22 at 4.01.41 PMBack in September, we wrote about a new iPhone app that would allow you to run a background check on a new lover. It’s mildly creepy, but also kind of interesting. Unfortunately, that app, DateCheck, also charged an arm and a leg to run the checks. A new one gives you some background checking ability for free.

The aptly named Background Check App does exactly what it says: Using data from the site BeenVerified

, it allows you to do background checks on people via name queries or their email addresses. And it even allows you to check your contacts on your iPhone with just one click. Just imagine the fun that will bring.

But it’s not all free fun. Unfortunately, you only get three free queries a week. After that, you’re prompted to sign up for a BeenVerified account and pay to get unlimited access. Currently, that will cost you $8-a-month.

Beyond looking up things such as age, address history, and relatives, Background Check App gives you access to criminal records, the properties associated with a person (and their values), and even scans the social networks to find data about the person there, such as pictures of them.

Background Check App is a free download in the App Store. Find it here

HootSuite iPhone App

Iphone_array

HootSuite just launched this updated app few days ago and I've already been hearing good things about it.
Looks like a pretty solid app. Interesting feature which I don't think any other iPhone Twitter App offers is the click through rate tracking of the links you tweet.
I haven't had time to try it personally, but please leave feedback here if you're using it.

Or you can learn more about it here.
